The key feature of Geoser geotextile is its continuous surface, which keeps two different soil types apart. Its fibrous structure spreads concentrated loads, and by resisting the tensile forces that develop within the soil mass it acts as a reinforcement element. Thanks to its filter properties, it can also be used to prevent contamination: it stops solid particles from passing through while maintaining sufficient permeability to liquids (water) and gases (air). Under certain conditions it can carry significant volumes of water in its plane, allowing it to act as a drainage element. In short, geotextile performs both hydraulic and mechanical functions.
